Chocolate Cookie Chunks
I have always loved my cookies crunchy, but my nephew made these delicious soft ones that leave melting chocolate smudges around my mouth & a definite satisfaction to my taste buds. I was definitely bought over. Now I am hooked on soft cookies, right out of the oven. Burnt tongues certainly don't bother me!
Sieve Dry Ingredients
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup caster sugar
3/4 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups semisweet chocolates, cut into little chunks
Beat butter with both sugars.
Put in eggs, one at a time.
Put all the sieved flour mixture into the batter & mix using a spatula or wooden spoon.
Finally, toss around the chocolate chunks.
Chill the dough covered in the refrigerator for about 1/2 an hour.
Drop 1 teaspoon of dough onto greased baking tins 2 inches apart.
Bake in a preheated 180 deg oven for about 5 to 8 minutes.
The cookie is done when the edges are light golden brown but still a little soft to touch.
Remove the cookies to a wire rack immediately with a spatula.
Don't let your kids eat it while it's still hot. The chocolate will definitely burn!
